Intra-Company Transfer Work Permit
Intra-Company Transfer Work Permit allows multinational companies that have improved their management efficiency, or published in Canada to increase their competitiveness in overseas markets, to send qualified employees to work in Canada. Eligible internal transfer employees can apply for work visas and are usually exempt from the Labor Impact Assessment (LIMA). Eligible positions usually include senior management positions that urgently require special skills and knowledge.
The first batch of this work visa is one year. After expiration, if applicant may apply for an extension if the condition fits the requirement. The renewal can be up to seven years.
While the applicant enters Canada to work on a work permit, the spouse can apply for a Canadian Spouse Open Work Permit to emigrate Canada, and the children can also hold a study permit to enjoy free, high-quality public education in Canada.
- Must prove that the entity operates in Canada;
- The company must have sufficient experience and ability to pay the salaries of the dispatched labours;
- If the assigned position belongs to administrative or senior management, it must prove that the company is large enough to require administrative and senior management positions
- If the transferred position is a position requiring professional knowledge or skills, the transferred person must occupy an important position in a Canadian company.
